Metal Powders
Our metal powders are gas-atomized through our patent-pending Spray Forming process. The powders are sieved to custom sizes and have been qualified for Additive Manufacturing processes including Laser Powder Bed Fusion, Binder Jetting and Laser Cladding. Spray-formed powders are characterized by:
- Unmatched low CO2 footprint
- Spherical shape with few satellites
- Excellent flowability
- Low internal gas porosity
- Chemical compatibility with corresponding spray-formed steel

THOR15 is a high-performance tungsten type high-speed tool steel for Binder Jetting. THOR15 powder has been qualified for Binder Jetting due to its superior flowability, abiity to produce green strength, and good sinterability (up to approx. 99.5% density). With a hardness of up to 67 HRC and the ability to withstand high temperatures, it can be used in various applications.
Classical hot work tool steel applications:
- High-speed cutting tools
- Heavy-duty finishing tools
- Stamping dies
- Automotive and aerospace applications:
- Bearings, gears, and valves
- Turbine disks and fuel injectors
THOR15 has been qualified for Binder Jetting in collaboration with ExOne (Desktop Metal) and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
